  • With the deficiencies and hazards of the modern diet, there is a real need for a practical understanding of healthy/unhealthy foods. Every time you eat you make a choice.

    This course is for the public. It serves:

    People instinctively know that the relationship between health/disease and diet is profound. How are common health problems aggravated by a poor diet, and how improved with the right diet? We discuss Type 2 diabetes, heart disease, PMS, menopause, osteoporosis, peptic ulcers, constipation, depression, obesity, anaemia, high cholesterol, cancer, attention deficiency disorder. People are encouraged to name diseases that can be discussed in the context of the course.

    A US-trained Naturopathic Physician, Dr Kats uses herbal medicine, diet, supplements, homeopathy and chiropractic. He is a licensed acupuncturist. A solid grounding in the basic medical sciences permits the practice of responsible complementary medicine. He uses 3 paradigms to understand health problems – medical, naturopathic, and TCM (traditional Chinese medicine). He resolves many diseases with dietary change. He is uniquely placed to teach this course.

    He is also a pretty good cook.

    Class is two hours Monday nights for 4 weeks.
